Real body after Baby

I truly enjoyed reading this article and wanted to share it.
Bravo to this new mother, she looks great!

Gisele, left, and reader Kristin, both exactly 102 days post-birth. Hello, perspective. (And hi, babies!)

No one’s begrudging Gisele her genes. But the picture makes you wonder: What does your average nonsupermodel look like 15 weeks postpartum? To give you an idea, Kristin Ford, 32, a social-media consultant from Lansdale, Pennsylvania, let Glamour photograph her and son Parker at the same number of days postpartum as Gisele and Vivian. Ford looks great—but she expected better: “I had this idea that my body would bounce back after pregnancy,” she says. “I’m still waiting. I’m bigger everywhere—even in my knees!"
So how do Hollywood moms do it? With the best trainers money can buy—plus the threat of losing out on work. “Celebrities experience a scary amount of pressure to drop the pounds,” says trainer Ramona Braganza. “Their careers depend on it.” Jessica Alba was in a swimsuit for a Campari ad not long after she had her first baby. “She did light weights two weeks postpartum and intervals on the treadmill by week five,” Braganza says. Minimal downtime is the norm: “I trained Meg Ryan the morning she went into the hospital,” says trainer Kathy Kaehler, who adds that she was at Julia Roberts’ door five weeks after the actress delivered twins (twins!). Doesn't exactly make you want to switch places with the stars, right?
Bottom Line: Cut yourself some slack if you’ve got a newborn: Your body just, y’know, made another body. Focus on getting gentle exercise and lots of protein, calcium, and vitamin D (to help rebuild muscle and bone)—not on losing weight, says New York City cardiologist Holly Andersen, M.D. Ford's take: "If I'm choosing between a workout and time with Parker, Parker wins. Who cares if I can't get my old pants over my thighs?"

Whoever said “Oh it’s your first baby? The weight will come right off!” is lying to you. Let me start off by saying it has been 20 months since I have given birth to my son and I am still struggling to drop the last 10 pounds. (Granted I have lost over 40 pounds so far.) Like struggling for a couple of month’s type of struggling.

So with that being laid out for you, I decided it was time for a change. I looked my daily diet and exercise plan and figured I would change a few things. Can I just say it has made a world of difference? I have already lost 4 of the 10 pounds I am trying to lose.

The two things I have been doing different are I picked up Kettle Bell Training and Eating Clean.
Kettle Bell training is a great 3 in one work out that you can do at home. You know when the kiddo’s are napping or sleeping. They are normally 25-30 minute work out that combine Strength, Cardio, and Power. Great combo, right?

Then there is eating clean. Who knew it could be so easy and so fun. You can make your meals for the week with Turkey Meatloaf Muffins or Quiche, Smoothies and the list goes on. You can also freeze the smoothies let them sit out for a few minutes then you a cool treat with the texture of ice cream.

Turkey Meatloaf

Quiche

Green Machine Smoothie

Hope you enjoy!

Disclaimer: I am about to go on a rant. Okay you have been warned.

Reading this article on MSN makes me sick to my stomach. As a mother I try to always carry myself in a positive light and with class so that one day when I am no longer here my son will remember me in just that way.

To each their own, I am sure the Teen Mom is going to get a great pay day from this. However way to be a great mom and have your daughter live with that for the rest of her life. (I am being sarcastic if you can't tell)

Farrah Abraham’s reported co-star James Deen claims the tape is real.
UNCONFIRMED
While TMZ reports the tape has been seen by some adult entertainment companies, it has yet to be released
A sex tape featuring former MTV's "Teen Mom" star Farrah Abraham is reportedly being shopped around to different adult entertainment companies, according to a report by TMZ. The alleged tape has created buzz on  Huffington Post, the New York Daily News and US Weekly.
The 21-year-old reality star has not revealed details about the alleged tape but her reported co-star did.
"Word travels fast," Porn Star James Deen told TMZ.  "It isn't even edited yet. We shot it yesterday."
Deen, who recently starred in the film "The Canyons," with Lindsay Lohan, told TMZ that he and Abraham are not dating after they were photographed holding hands on Monday.
“Got tested together on Friday and then saw her on set. That is my only experience with the lady," he said.
Abraham’s coy reaction
Abraham became a reality star in 2009 when she gave birth to her daughter on MTV’s documentary series  “16 and Pregnant.” She then returned for the spinoff series “Teen Mom” which has now ended. Since then she has published a memoir and recorded a single.
When TMZ asked Abrahams about the sex tape she at first denied its existence but then said,  "I don't ... exist ... anything about that," she said. "If I had my own personal stuff, that's my own personal thing."
Abraham’s mother completely denies the claims and contacted the gossip site to refute the rumor.
"My daughter has never expressed interest in things like that," she said. "She was not brought up that way."

Before and After

As some of you might know I had a baby 20 months ago.
As much as I love my son, carrying him really took a toll on my body and self esteem.
I went from being 5 foot tall and 115 pounds to (still 5 foot tall)  pushing the scale at almost 200 pounds when he was born. When he was born he was 9 pounds and 21 inches long.

Needless to say I am doing this post for me. I am having one of those days where I am not feeling like my normal hot mom self. (which I know we all have those days) UGH >.<

That's me on the right looking like like I have a fat suit on :)

And this is me today.
Still need to drop 14 pounds to be back to my pre baby weight.

And let me just tell you these last 14 pounds are the hardest to come off.
No matter they will come off regardless.

So Mom's out there..
Just remember you are beautiful even when you are feeling like you are not.

Thankful for You

Disclamer: This is a sappy post.

This Poem made me think of how thankful I am to have such a great Best Friend.
We first met in the the 5th grade.
No matter what happened or where we lived we always remained close like sisters.
I am truly thankful and blessed to have her in my life.

To top everything off now are sons who are about the same age can grow up together and hopefully experience the same thing :)

Reason, Season, or Lifetime
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you figure out which one it is,
you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON,
it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty;
to provide you with guidance and support;
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON,
because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.

They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person,
and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Happy Easter

Here is something fun you can do with your kids or just you....

You will need:

·        2 large chocolate bars - melting chocolate works better and you can use white!
·        12 large fresh strawberries, stems on
·        wax paper
sprinkles, candies, other fun things for dipping

Directions
Leave the stems on the berries. This way you can hold them by the stems when dipping.  Wash and dry the
strawberries. Break chocolate into small pieces and
place in microwave safe bowl. Heat in microwave oven
on high for 30 seconds. Check chocolate and heat
another 15 – 30 seconds if needed. Holding by stems,
dip each strawberry. Place on wax paper to cool.

Thank you http://childrensrecipes.com/

My "Being a New Mom" Essentials

Let's kick things off with a great Blazer or Cardigan.
These are two great pieces to have.
Throw one on over a tank or tee shirt and you instantly look pulled together.
Plus did I mention they make you look a few pounds lighter in the mid section.
BONUS.

Next up we have the Straight Leg Jean.
This Jean looks good in any season.
You can cuff them at the bottom and they instantly turn in to what appears to be boyfriend Jeans.
Or you could just wear them as in for a slim lined look.

Tanks. Great for Layering.

The LBD.
I don't really need to elaborate on this one.
It speaks for itself.

Fun colorful accessories to spice things up and give your look a pop.

Cover those fresh stains
(thanks to the little one)
by throwing on a scarf.

And Last but not least a great pair or flats or booties.

Kim Kardashian's Maternity Style. Let's discus...

I know this celebrity I am about to talk about is way over exposed.
But sorry I can’t help but discus her wardrobe choices while she is pregnant.
This is my disclaimer, I am not a style expert just giving my two cents, even though they may not be needed or wanted. (but that’s the beauty of the good ole’ U.S of A)

Anyways, girl let your belly breath.
I get it you want to look and feel sexy because you feel like you are wearing a fat suit.
But guess what you’re not, your pregnant and that is a beautiful thing. So enjoy it, be comfortable because I know you can not be comfortable in that leather dress.  And the biggest thing of all ENJOY IT! Once the baby is here your fast life will have to slow down for your health and for the baby. Just saying.

The way not to do it:
(let that baby breath)

The correct way to do it:
(And yes you still look hot)

No Mom Jeans

Okay let’s be real here people.( By the way this post is for all the mom’s out there but anyone is more than welcome to read and maybe even take something from this.)
After having my son my world was flipped upside down. When I say flipped upside down I mean EVERYTHING. From my daily routine, to what I was wearing, how I carried myself, how I saw myself, my habits,  how was I going to fit in my workout and the list goes on.
After 19 months I am finding myself again and getting my hotness back. Please don’t think I am shallow, I’m just saying you know it has all crossed your minds.. It may take other mom’s shorter or it may take other mom’s longer to get back to everything with full force. (Please remember there is no time limit on these things, only you will know when you are ready.)
Ladies these are just some quick tips I picked up along the way and maybe they will be useful to you.
Beauty Routine:
You want to use things that are multi taskers. Check, Lips all in one?! Yes Please.

Let’s not forget to use a great Primer Base and Coverage in One. BB Cream is all the rage right now and it does Multi Task. Key word here ;)

Also a good key piece to have is a great under eye conceder because girl you are going to need it more those sleepless nights. I personally like and use this one. It has caffeine it in which helps the eye look more awake.

PS Don’t forget to use the mascara. It makes a world of difference, trust me.
Try washing and styling your hair at night after the kiddo’s are in bed. In the morning just refresh your hair style with a little finishing spray.

And Boom you are one pulled together Mom ready to take on the world.

Fitness Routine:
Invest in a jogging stroller; spring will be here before you know it. You don’t have to jog, you could walk. Whatever works for you as long as you are a mom that is moving. Plus the fresh air will be good for the both of you and this may even get baby to nap. Bonus.

I guess this saying is true.
“When babies are born mothers are born.”
I love being a mom and would not trade it for anything in this world. I feel like every moment with my son is a blessing. At the end of the day there is nothing better than snuggling with your loved one or ones.
